CG Hatton is the author of the fast-paced military science fiction Thieves’ Guild books and also edits and writes in the Harvey Duckman series of speculative fiction anthologies.
She has a PhD in geology, a background in journalism and ran an independent publishing company for fifteen years. She is currently working freelance, offering author services, mentoring and coaching to authors.

Speaking Experience
Gillie gives talks and delivers writing and publishing workshops to writing groups including the Robinson House Writers, at book festivals including Crossing The Tees in Stockton, The WRITE Festival at The Word in South Shields, at events such as Sci-Fi Scarborough and Kapow! in Stockton, and to community groups such as Ageing Better Middlesbrough.
She also volunteers to help local schools and charities establish and publish their own community tabloid newspapers.
Gillie has taken part in a variety of author panels at events including comic cons and book festivals, and has hosted author panels, interviewing other authors.
She has a very friendly and informal style, appreciating audience participation, and adapts her presentations to suit the people attending.
Availability for speaking engagements
Gillie is available to give talks and workshops within North East England, or further afield if travel expences are offered. She is very happy to coordinate events via Zoom or Teams for a remote audience.
